Colombano 500. Cinquecento anni del Pertus di Colombano Romean

Address: P.zza Vittorio Emanuele II, 2 In 2026, 500 years will have passed since the start of the works on the Pertus of Colombano Romean, an extraordinary work of Alpine engineering built between 1526 and 1533. To celebrate this important anniversary, Colombano 500 has been created, with a programme running from July to October and further initiatives also planned for 2027. It begins on 4 July at Forte di Exilles with the conference Oltre la roccia. Il Pertus di Colombano Romean tra storia, scienza e tradizione alpina, in which scholars and experts from different fields will take part. On the same day, the itinerant theatre performance Il dono dell’acqua will debut, a new production by ArTeMuDa APS dedicated to the feat of Colombano Romean, with repeats scheduled in August. During the summer, Pro Loco Exilles will organize night walks inspired by the novel La Canzone di Colombano by Alessandro Perissinotto, while the film programme, created with the Associazione Museo Nazionale del Cinema, will offer screenings dedicated to the theme of the mountains. Between August and September, the Colombano Romean Ecomuseum of the Ente Parchi Alpi Cozie will also curate guided visits
