BREAKING BRECHT

From 25 October 2026 to 19 April 2027 the Teatro Baretti reopens its doors with a season of unmissable shows in collaboration with Piemonte dal Vivo. Bertolt Brecht, in a surprising irreverent and contemporary guise, goes on stage on 5 November with Veronica Pivetti, Manuela Mandracchia and Lucia Vasini: Breaking Brecht. Sing’n’Song Cabaret - The strange case of Bertolt Brecht is, in fact, a satirical-musical journey into the universe of the German playwright, in which political and cultural icons such as Freud, Hitler, Marx and Engels are catapulted into the present and put to the test with mass media, new technologies and artificial intelligence. In the background, the immortal music of Kurt Weill, intertwined with opera and contemporary international pop, accompanies the audience through irony, reflection and emotion.
