Place: Asti. Bagna Cauda Day in Asti is much more than a simple food festival: it is a total immersion in Piedmontese tradition, where a humble, popular dish becomes the star of a unique communal ritual. From 21 to 30 November, the streets of the city are transformed into large open-air tables, where steaming bagna cauda — that magical mixture of garlic, anchovies and oil — brings people together around the fire, exactly as used to happen in the farmhouse homes of the past. Every taste tells stories of family, sharing, of gestures handed down from generation to generation. The festival offers far more than the classic recipe: at the stands it is possible to discover creative variations and contemporary reinterpretations that respect the essence of the original dish, allowing both purists and the curious to find their ideal bagna cauda.
