Organizer: Consorzio di Tutela e Valorizzazione del Cappone di Morozzo The National Cappone Fair of Morozzo is a very heartfelt and traditional event, held every year in Morozzo, in the province of Cuneo. This fair celebrates the prized Cappone di Morozzo, a gastronomic excellence recognized for the tenderness and delicate flavor of its meat. The Cappone Fair of Morozzo is a tribute to an ancient craft, that of raising the Cappone, passed down from generation to generation in the rural tradition of the area. The Consortium for the Protection and Enhancement of the Cappone di Morozzo works actively to preserve and promote this precious heritage. The Cappone was recognized as a Slow Food Presidium in 1999. The heart of the fair is the exhibition and award ceremony for the best pairs of capons, a moment of great pride for local breeders. The competition is eagerly awaited, with a jury of experts who evaluate the specimens and, in some cases, also a popular jury that helps choose the winner.
