In the heart of the Roero, among neat vineyards and fruit-covered hills, Canale celebrates every summer the fruit that made it famous: the peach. The Peach Fair is an event that brings together the agricultural world and the festive one, paying tribute to the sweetness and beauty of a product that smells like summer. During the event, the historic center is filled with stalls, exhibits and tastings. The peaches - fleshy, fragrant, yellow or white - are presented fresh, in jams, in syrup, or as the stars of sweets, ice creams, cakes and liqueurs. But the fair is also peasant culture, with meetings, awards for producers and spaces dedicated to food education. Music, shows, entertainment for families and craft markets frame a festival that highlights the flavour of local fruit and the agricultural identity of an entire area.
