Garbagna, a picturesque village in the Val Grue, is renowned for its cherries, in particular for the prized “Bella di Garbagna” variety. The festival, which is traditionally held on the first or second Sunday of June, offers visitors an authentic experience, skilfully combining tradition, gastronomy and entertainment. During the festival, the streets of Garbagna’s characteristic historic centre come alive with lively food stalls, where it is possible to taste a multitude of typical local dishes and, naturally, the juicy and delicious cherries of Garbagna, offered fresh, in jams, syrups, sweets and liqueurs. The festival is enriched by musical and folkloric performances, children’s entertainment, and a colourful market exhibition of local crafts and typical products.
