An appointment that smells of home, tradition and sweetness: the festival dedicated to traditional sweets and to the food and wine of Canavese and Piedmont returns to enliven the streets of Agliè, organized with passion by the Pro Loco and with the patronage of the Municipality. The heart of the festival is the torcetto di Agliè: a simple intertwining of flour, butter and sugar, born of the wisdom of grandmothers and the skill of Piedmontese pastry makers. Its twisted shape tells stories of ovens and family, with that caramelized crust that tastes of childhood snack time and village festivals. Walking under the arcades and through the squares of the village, you get lost among aromas of artisanal sweets, such as miasse from Val Chiusella, canestrelli from Montanaro, handmade chocolate and the golden honey of local beekeepers.
