24° Festa itinerante del salame

The “Itinerant Sausage Festival” is an event organised by the Consorzio Salame Nobile del Giarolo in collaboration with other Piedmontese associations for the protection of food and wine heritage, which, every year, is held in a different municipality of Piedmont. The event gathers the producers of this fantastic cured meat, already known since the nineteenth century, together with the area's most important wineries. Tastings, markets with local excellences, conferences, musical performances and the eagerly awaited “tying” competition among the best pork butchers complete this day dedicated to taste.
