16° Sagra del pesce e del cortese

In Gavazzana, among the hills of lower Piedmont, the sea tradition meets that of the vineyard in the Sagra del Pesce e del Cortese. An unusual event for a hilly area, but now much loved, where fresh fish takes centre stage alongside the native white wine, Cortese, light and fragrant. The menu offers fried mixed fish, spaghetti with clams, mussels marinara style and typical dishes of seaside cuisine, prepared with skill and served in a convivial setting. Cortese, served chilled, accompanies each course, enhancing its flavour. The festival is also entertainment: dance evenings, concerts, moments of socialising that involve the whole village.
